Dear members of Teiresias,

Whether you are starting some exciting new courses or embarking on your thesis adventure, we hope you have had a good start to this year’s second semester and wish you the best of luck. Having said that, do not forget to sometimes close those 500 tabs on your browser and put those books back on the shelf; it is important to take some much deserved rest! Speaking of leisure; we would like to update you on the upcoming (in-person!) Teiresias activities.

Emperor Domitian Lecture by Dr. Saskia Stevens on February 25 19:30 (online)

Fourthly, in the January Newsletter we announced that our visit to the Emperor Domitian Exhibit at the National Museum of Antiquities in Leiden with Dr. Saskia Stevens had to be postponed because of Covid-19 restrictions. Unfortunately, the Museum still does not allow for a group visit as of yet, therefore the Education Committee has decided to split the event into two separate elements. On February 25 at 19:30 Dr. Saskia Stevens will give an online talk about Domitian, followed by a fun pub quiz! At this event the Committee will also announce a new date for the visit to the exhibition. If you have not signed up for the event(s) yet, please do so by sending an e-mail to onderwijscommissie.teiresias@gmail.com, to ensure you receive new updates in due time.
